Gombe, Tanzania, 1995
Jane Goodall first met Flo, Fifi’s mother, in 1960. Fifi, over 40 years old and the mother of seven, is the last survivor of the chimpanzees first studied by Jane. Her oldest sons Freud and Frodo have for years been the dominant males in the Gombe Kasekela communtiy of chimpanzees.
